Your Big Mistake

A Dream

As I lie there on the sand,
I feel myself falling into the black abyss
Where time doesn't matter,
And dreams don't exist.
Everything I've ever thought
Runs through my mind like a scrambled song.
Then the darkness lifts, and everything is red.
I hear my name, a hiss of fire
It frightens me, and I begin to tremble
There's a roll of thunder; a flash of lightning
I hear a pertrified scream, and a sweet triumphant laugh,
and everything turns white.
As I relax, I open my eyes and realize that it was all a nightmare.
